Story time with the BNY's Childrens Book Makers!

  • Brooklyn Navy Yard, Building 92 77 Flushing Ave NY, 11205 United States (map)

Join me, Ruth Chan and Chris Silas Neal as we share our Brooklyn Navy yard-made children’s books at BLDG 92! Event is FREE and you can register on the event page: https://www.brooklynnavyyard.org/visit/tours-and-events/storytime-bny-june1

Heder will be reading “Fraidyzoo,” and “Alfie (The Turtle That Disappeared),” and sharing a sneak peak of the forthcoming, “How Do You Dance?”

Chan is known for her lovable animal characters in books such as “Where’s the Party” and “Georgie’s Best Bad Day.”

Silas Neal has a way with colors and shapes and is the artist behind books such as “From Tree to Sea” (written by Shelley Moore Thomas) and “I Won’t Eat That.”

Between listening to stories and hearing from the artists how they think of and create their stories and illustrations, children will get the opportunity to draw and get ideas to help write their own stories. Books will be available for purchase!
